Our Deer Friends

We wondered why the deer were always in our front yard. I guess we just never noticed the trees before but discovered they are very very big pear trees. Ok, pear trees go through a phase where they drop some fruit. The deer certainly love them!

A neighbor stopped by to ask what the deer were eating because he saw them every day on his way to work.

Photos aren't very clear when you take them through the front screen door glass, but this deer heard the click of the camera and looked at us.

It's times like this that make me really appreciate nature and living in rural America. Double click on photos to see the bigger pictures.

Bible Quote of the Day
"I will remember my covenant between me and you and all living creatures of every kind. Never again will the waters become a flood to destroy all life. Whenever the rainbow appears in the clouds, I will see it and remember the everlasting covenant between God and all living creatures of every kind on the earth."(Genesis 9:15-17 NIV)
